Delete Your Account

How to delete your ID-Firewall account and data, and what we keep.

1. Delete inside the app (fastest)

Deleting from the app removes your data from our servers right away, signs the device out, and erases the app's data on that phone or tablet.

If you are the family admin

  1. Open ID-Firewall and unlock it with your PIN.
  2. Tap Settings and scroll to the bottom (the Danger zone section in newer versions).
  3. Tap Delete account & family, then confirm with Delete Everything.

This permanently deletes:

  • Your entire family group, including every member's name, email, phone number, and security questions and answers
  • All invite codes and the device links used to join the family
  • Your ID-Firewall login and the app's data on your device (including your PIN)

Family members' apps will show that the family was removed.

If you are a family member

  1. Open ID-Firewall and unlock it with your PIN.
  2. Tap Settings and scroll to the bottom (the Danger zone section in newer versions).
  3. Tap Delete account & leave family, then confirm with Leave & Delete.

This permanently deletes:

  • Your security questions and answers, and your name, email and phone number in the family
  • Your device link (your invite code becomes available again for someone else)
  • Your ID-Firewall login and the app's data on your device (including your PIN)

Subscriptions are not cancelled automatically. Deleting your account does not stop billing. Cancel in App Store subscriptions or Google Play subscriptions.

2. Request deletion by email

If you no longer have the app or can't open it, email support@id-firewall.com with the subject "Delete my ID-Firewall data" and include:

  • Your name and the email address you used in the app
  • Your family's name, and whether you are the admin or a member

To protect your family, we confirm the request with the email address on the account before deleting anything. We complete verified requests within 7 business days and reply when it's done.

3. What we keep

After deletion, some limited records may remain:

  • Purchase and subscription history held by Apple, Google and our billing provider RevenueCat, which we need for billing, refunds and tax records
  • Records of promo codes redeemed and of service emails we sent (such as renewal reminders), kept for billing and fraud prevention
  • Crash reports and anonymous usage statistics, which are not linked to your name and expire on Google Firebase's standard schedule

We do not keep your security questions, answers, or family member details after deletion.
